What families see, and what they can do
The short answer
The family app is read-only on school data: attendance, grades, report cards and homework can be viewed there, never edited. Families write only where it is intended — messages, documents and supporting papers.
Screen by screen, what the app shows
The last column says who can act, and how far.
| Screen | What it holds | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Session schedule | Upcoming sessions by child, group and time slot. | Read-only |
| Attendance & behaviour | Present / absent / late, reason, positive or negative behaviour. | Read-only |
| Grades & averages | Grades by sub-skill, coefficients, averages and comments. | Read-only |
| PDF report cards | Report cards generated by the team, opened directly in the app. | Read-only |
| Homework | Homework for the next session, entered by the teacher from the roll call. | Read-only |
| Messaging & comments | Exchanges with the team and replies to session comments. | Write |
| Announcements | Communications from the organisation addressed to families. | Read-only |
| Multi-child | Switch from one student to another from a single account. | Read-only |
A family journey, from invitation to daily use
Four steps, with no involvement from your team after the first.
- The parent opens the app — Secure sign-in with two-factor authentication (2FA) and optional biometric unlock.
- They choose a child — A single account covers all their students, each with their own tracking.
- They check the tracking — Attendance, behaviour, grades, averages, PDF report cards and homework, in real time.
- They talk to the team — Messaging, session comments and announcements — the only action open to families.
Frequently asked questions
What families see, and what they can do
Can parents edit data from the app?
No. On the family side, the educational tracking is read-only: parents do not report absences and do not enter payments. The only available action is communication — writing to the team, replying to session comments and receiving announcements. Data entry stays controlled by the teaching team on the web workspace.
Is the app bilingual in English and Arabic?
Yes. The parent app is bilingual English / Arabic, designed for community schools and language institutes. The family views the tracking in whichever language suits them.
How are parents notified in case of an absence?
As soon as the teacher submits the roll call, Nezam sends a push notification to the legal guardian: absence, lateness or behaviour, depending on the organisation’s settings. The family is informed immediately, with no phone call or manual chasing.
