Setting up a group, planning its sessions
The short answer
A group is set up once — composition, level, subject, room, capacity — and its schedule follows. Sessions are then edited in bulk, and holidays remove the slots concerned without touching the rest of the year.
The settings that define a group
Each setting is decided group by group.
| Setting | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Mixed | Girls and boys in the same group. The default composition for most subjects and levels. |
| Girls | A group reserved for girls, depending on your organisation’s setup and the nature of the subject. |
| Boys | A group reserved for boys. You configure the composition group by group, with no imposed constraint. |
Editing several sessions at once
Four operations that save going through the schedule session by session.
- Select — Tick a series of sessions or an entire group from the schedule or the list.
- Choose the action — Move slots, clear the group, delete, or write to all the students.
- Apply in one go — The action applies at once to the whole selection, without repeating the same change.
- Check the count — The dashboard updates the hours delivered and planned accordingly.
Frequently asked questions
Setting up a group, planning its sessions
How do you handle holidays and public holidays?
You add school breaks, holidays and public holidays directly to the schedule. The sessions concerned are removed from the count of hours delivered and planned, without having to delete them one by one. The dashboard then reflects the hours actually delivered.
What is the difference between a mixed, girls and boys group?
Each group is configured as mixed, girls or boys depending on your organisation’s setup. You also set a maximum capacity per group. When a group is full, new students move to the waiting list and are only taken into account once a seat opens up.
What happens when a group reaches its capacity?
The group shows its maximum capacity and switches to a waiting list once full. A student on the waiting list is not billed as long as no seat opens up; as soon as a seat becomes available, they join the group at their actual rate and are billed accordingly.
